Nokomis Pet Clinic offers a wide range of surgical services including routine and advanced soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. For more specialized surgeries that require advanced training or specialized equipment, a board certified surgeon can be scheduled to perform the procedure in our hospital.

Although every pet and surgical procedure is unique, the level of care at Nokomis Pet Clinic is identical for each pet–our top priorities are the safety and the comfort of your pet.  Safety begins with a pre-surgical physical exam and often pre-anesthetic blood work to help identify potential medical problems that may not be detected during the physical exam.  We further ensure your pet’s safety by individually tailoring his/her pre-anesthetic medications and anesthesia protocol. We use state of the art anesthetic monitoring equipment along with personal monitoring by a technician from the beginning of the procedure until your pet is fully awake.  Lastly, we strive to maintain your pet’s comfort by utilizing pain control medications before, during and after surgery on a case-by-case basis.
